SCHOOL PROFILE


Helias is a Catholic High School offering a comprehensive education to students in the Jefferson City and surrounding area.
Enrollment 
for the 2013-2014 school year is 700 in grades 9-12.  Helias prides itself in a strong college preparatory curriculum with 94-96% of Helias graduates opting to go to college annually. 

In a study done in 2012, it was determined that 140 of the 160 graduates of 2007 who were found in an exhaustive search had completed their college degree.  That is 87.5% as compared to a graduation rate of 51.8% for all Missouri colleges as a whole.

Tuition for the 2013-2014 school year is $4,550 for Catholics who are contributing to their parishes and $5,950 for non-contributing Catholics and non-Catholics.

CREDIT ASSIGNMENT
Classes meet five days per week, 48 minutes per session, 18 weeks per semester. Credits are awarded on a semester basis. One unit equals two semesters of work.


TEST DATA 2013
The mean score of all Helias students (96% of the 2013 graduates) who took the ACT:  23.9, 2.3 points higher than the state average.
31 students scored 30 or higher, 48 scored 28 or higher.

According to the College Board ACT report, the percent of Helias students designated as ready for college-level coursework is at least 12-19% higher than the state percentages in all categories. These results indicate that the Class of 2013 should easily do as well as the Class of 2007, 87% of whom earned college degrees in 5 years or less.
