Information You Should Know

Students will receive a FREE ticket to Beauty and the Beast for the Thurs., March 8 Educational Night performance. Tickets must be picked up in the office beginning on Feb. 26.

There will be two sessions times, but in order to accommodate as many students as possible, you will not be able to specify the time of your class. 
The cost for each Summer School class is $175.
Sessions will be at 7:45 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. or 10:15 am-12:30 pm

Jefferson City High School summer school registration is now open for Drivers Ed., P.E., and Personal Finance.  Space is limited. 
Registration forms are available from the Helias Counseling office.

Helias Dance Team Tryouts for 2018/19 are March 22, 2018. Follow this link for information about Clinics and Auditions.

Senior Yearbook Pictures:
If you would like to turn in a picture for the yearbook from a photographer instead of using the one taken by Lifetouch at the beginning of school, you must email the file to Ms. Haslag by Tuesday , February 20.  If you want the yearbook staff to use your Lifetouch picture, you don't need to do anything.  Pictures submitted after next Tuesday will not be accepted.

Sadie Hawkins Dance on Feb. 24th and IF you are taking a student from another school you need to stop by the Helias Office to get a form to have filled out by your guest and their principal and returned to the Helias Office no later than Wednesday, Feb. 21st!!! Forms are available to be picked up at the office !!!

Attention NHS members:  The Knights Of Columbus Lenten Fish Fry's are in need of workers for the weekly Fish Fry. Each Fish Fry counts as 1 of the 2 required service events.  Sign up sheets are on Mrs. Heislen's door in the Student Success Center.    8 workers are needed each week.  

To kick off National Robotics WeekApril 1-14, the Helias Robotics club is hosting a Robotics Day for the Jefferson City community on Saturday, April 7, from 9AM to 1PM. Admission to the event will be free. More information will be forthcoming.

Human Trafficking Awareness Presentation, Wed., Feb. 21, -- 6 pm-7 pm, Hawthorn Bank Community Room, 3600 Amazonas Dr., Jefferson City. FREE. Parents of children and high-school-age children are encouraged to attend. Nanette Ward of the Central Missouri Stop Human Trafficking Coalition is the featured speaker. Brought to you by the Zonta Club of Jefferson City.

Window Envelopes for office use ~ These envelopes can be donated envelopes with a return address which we can put a Helias Catholic return label over.  The window opening needs to be on the left side.

One-sided paper ~ We are also in need of good one-sided paper that we can use in our copiers.  It would be very helpful if it is all turned the same direction so it can just be dropped into the paper tray.

Counseling Department

A+ Program ~ Information regarding the A+ program at Helias is now on the website under the "Counseling and Scholarship Information" page.  Any interested students are required to fill out an application form, which is on the website, and return it to Mrs. Heislen.

Helias Foundation

Parents' Club

Helias Parents' Club is an organization comprised of parents of all Helias students. This organization is dedicated to supporting all programs at Helias Catholic High School by raising money which is gifted back to the Helias General Fund to help keep tuition costs affordable for every student.  Parents' Club raises funds through organizing and manning activities such as concession stand sales, formal dress resales and poinsettia sales.  Contact us at parentsclub@heliascatholic.com

Sports Updates

Helias provides letters and numerals: If you need to order other patches, please contact Danny Baumgartner at Turkey Creek, 573-636-7833. Most sizes of Men and Ladies regular letter jackets are available at the SaderShop, but if you order your daughter's letter jacket from Turkey Creek, please be sure to tell them if you want a regular or sailor (large collar) jacket before you order.  

Joyce Becker will sew patches on letter jackets.  The cost is $8.00 per patch.  For the summer, you may contact her at 644-3408 to make arrangements to meet her to pick up and drop off at your location.
