Helias Catholic fall sports, activities earn academic recognition

Twelve Helias Catholic High School athletic and activities programs earned recognition from the Missouri State High School Activities Association’s Scholastic Achievement Program for the fall 2023 season.

The Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award recognizes teams and performance groups that have achieved a combined GPA of 3.5 or above while actively participating in interscholastic activities.

Helias Catholic fall teams and performance groups earning the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award are:

  • Cheerleading
  • Cross Country (Boys)
  • Cross Country (Girls)
  • Dance
  • Football
  • Golf (Girls)
  • Soccer (Boys)
  • Tennis (Girls)
  • Volleyball (Varsity)
  • Volleyball (Junior Varsity)
  • Volleyball (Freshman)

“We’re so proud of these students for their hard work both inside the classroom and in competition,” said Mr. Dwayne Clingman, Helias Catholic assistant principal and athletic/activities director. “Their dedication and integrity are a great representation of the Helias Catholic spirit of excellence.
