Mental Health Awareness Week
Monday – Donuts in the morning and yoga and lunch during lunch
Tuesday – Walk in someone else’s shoes- Uniform tops/bottoms with fun socks and shoes.
Wednesday – Finals study night 5:30-7 in commons
Thursday – Business and breakfast with counselors at 7:15 in the Blue and Gold conference room.
Friday – Dress down for $1- Wear green, teal and/or purple with jeans and tennis shoes. Teal and purple represent suicide prevention and green represents mental health awareness.
Throughout the week:
Duck Duck Goose – There will be rubber ducks around the school with random acts of kindness written on the bottom. We are asking students and staff to play with us.
How to Play:
1. Find a duck – ducks will be hidden around school… go find them.
2. Do the act of kindness- each duck has a random act written on the bottom. Read it and complete the task.
3. Hide the duck or give it to someone else – once you are done with the task, go hide the duck or hand it off to someone else. Make sure to write your initials on the duck to show you completed the act of kindness.
Stu Co will also have a “break the stigma wall” with pictures of saints, athletes and famous actors/actresses that have openly talked about their own mental health struggles or mental health struggles within their families.
