Zach Rockers will serve as director of campus ministry at Helias Catholic High School for the 2022-23 school year.

Mr. Rockers, alongside chaplain Father Paul Clark, will lead Helias Catholic’s faith formation program, which strives to provide opportunities that lead to a deeper awareness of the message of God’s love and opportunities for worship, supporting the formation of a community of faith, and the promotion of service as a way of life.

“This school and community have had such a positive impact on my life and my walk of faith. I look forward to working with our students and community to continue to strive to put Jesus at the heart of all that we do,” said Mr. Rockers.

He points to his favorite Scripture verse, John 10:10, as a guide for the school’s spiritual mission: “I came that you may have life and have it abundantly.”

“It’s a joy to help our students realize that our faith helps us experience life to the fullest!” Mr. Rockers said.

Mr. Rockers has assisted with campus ministry and taught several theology courses since he began teaching at Helias Catholic in 2018. A 2011 graduate of Helias Catholic, Mr. Rockers has a master of arts degree in teaching and bachelor’s degrees in secondary education and business administration from Columbia College. In addition to his roles in the classroom and campus ministry, he serves as a coach for Helias Catholic’s football and boys basketball teams.

“Mr. Rockers brings a vision and passion for campus ministry that involves empowering our young people to step into leadership roles among their peers and to have ownership in their own formation. This includes a strong partnership with the local parishes and resources for their parish schools,” said Helias Catholic Principal Spencer Allen. “Through Mr. Rockers’ leadership, we are working toward a campus ministry that is not for the students, but through them for the greater glory of Christ.”
