Thank you to our Hall of Fame community members
Dear Helias Catholic family,
Every school community has among its constituents certain individuals who stand out for their dedication and service to the school. For the past 15 years, The Foundation for the Benefit of Helias Catholic High School has celebrated outstanding individuals who exemplify the Helias Catholic mission.
This past Saturday, colleagues, friends and families gathered at Helias Catholic for the 15th annual Celebrate the Legacy Hall of Fame Dinner. This year’s honorees are Marylyn Geraghty DeFeo, Dwayne Clingman and, as voted by his colleagues as Helias Catholic Staff Member of the Year, Victor Bell. Saturday’s celebration was a wonderful evening of friendship and community. Congratulations to Marylyn, Dwayne and Victor!
Occasions such as the Hall of Fame celebration call to mind the many people who over the years have given so much to our school community. Most of us will not receive a “hall of fame” moment, at least in the traditional sense. However, our faith teaches us that each one of us is called to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and, in doing so, one day we will be called to live in heaven with Him. May the examples of a life well lived by all those in the Helias Catholic Hall of Fame inspire us to live a life dedicated to loving God by loving and serving one another, especially the least of us in our world.
