Athletics Participation

In order to participate in Helias Catholic athletics each student must stay academically eligible and meet all other requirements outlined in the Athletic Handbook.

Activities fee

There is a participation fee of $275 to participate in a MSHSAA-sanctioned sport or activity. The fee helps to cover the increasing cost of running athletic and activity programs (transportation, tournament fees, officials, uniforms, equipment, etc.) Helias Catholic offers an opportunity each fall to offset the cost of activities participation with the NFL raffle ticket fundraiser.

Registration

Helias Catholic partners with the rSchoolToday sports management platform to electronically organize registration and medical information for student-athletes and activities participants. This is where all waivers are signed and sports physical documentation uploaded.

To set up your rSchoolToday account, visit heliascatholic-ar.rschooltoday.com/, click “View My Account” at the top right, then click “Create New Account” and follow the instructions to register.

Sports physicals

For the overall health and safety of our student-athletes, Helias Catholic requires an annual physical exam for all sports (even though the MSHSAA sports physical form states it is valid for two year)s. Physicals must be submitted via email to skampeter@heliascatholic.com, submitted to the school office, or mailed to the school. Click here for the MSHSAA physical form.

Dance Team Auditions 2023-24

Auditions for the 2023-24 Helias Catholic Dance Explosion Team are at 5 p.m. April 20, 2023, with mandatory clinics from 5-7 p.m. April 17 and April 19. Click here for more information.
