Helias Catholic recognizes August 2023 Students of the Month

Helias Catholic High School’s Students of the Month for August 2023 are senior Matthew Malmstrom, junior Matthew Liebsch, sophomore Quade Edwards and freshman Megan Bruce.

Matthew Malmstrom, son of Chip and Julie Malmstrom, is involved in Fishing Team, track and field, and Ping Pong Club at Helias Catholic. He is a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph parish in Jefferson City. The faculty member who nominated Matthew noted his hard work as a student leader in Helias Catholic’s campus ministry program.

Matthew Liebsch, son of Michael and Lori Liebsch, plays tennis and is involved in International Club at Helias Catholic; he also is a team manager for girls tennis. He is a member of St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martins. The faculty member who nominated Matthew noted he is very hard-working and proactive in his schoolwork.

Quade Edwards, son of Shaun and Brooke Edwards, is involved in football, basketball, and track and field at Helias Catholic as well as his church youth group. He is a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Jefferson City. The faculty member who nominated Quade noted his kindness and willingness to help others.

Megan Bruce, daughter of Gregory and Lori Bruce, is involved in Student Council and softball at Helias Catholic. She is a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jefferson City. The faculty member who nominated Megan noted she is an active participant in class discussions and is always ready to help
