Mrs. Krista Hale joined the Helias Catholic staff as a school counselor in 2023. She has a master’s degree in counseling and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Missouri State University, and she is trained in QPR Emergency Mental Health Training and is Psychological First Aid & Youth Mental First Aid Certified.

Mrs. Hale serves as the school counselor for students with last names beginning with A-Hi. She is a faculty advisor for Life Runners.

In addition to her work with students, Mrs. Hale works with Hattie, Helias' therapy dog to support the Helias community. Together, Krista and Hattie have completed Mid-Mo Dog Training Levels 1, 2, and 3, and Hattie has earned both the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy certificate and the Canine Good Citizen title through the American Kennel Club. Hattie passed her AKC Therapy Dog Test in December of 2025.  Their shared goal is for Hattie to work alongside Krista at Helias and also volunteer at local hospitals and nursing homes, bringing comfort and encouragement to others.
